Drawing the Inktober 2017 Day 3 – Poison

I will share the process of how I came up with my Inktober 2017 day 3 – poison drawing. The theme for that day is poison. Initially, I was thinking of drawing a bottle of poison, with the skull symbol as a center of attention, but I decided that it is too obvious.

Poison Ivy?

My next idea is to draw Poison Ivy. I was seriously thinking of drawing her because she is really a good fit to the theme and her curvy figure is a big plus to attract the observer. But then I think that there are so much details in Poison Ivy in order for me to make a quick drawing.

Poisononous animals?

I am also thinking of drawing a poisonous animal. A poisonous poisonous snake, or a poisonous frog perhaps. Or the combination of the two fighting to death. Sounds like a fine setup but I cannot think of the best scene to present it.

I need more idea

While searching more for ideas, I stumbled on a bunny in a gas mask and I immediately think it is cool. I like how the hoodie covers the gas mask. But this is not the right picture, I need more reference. The picture looks funny to me and I do not want to draw a bunny.

I googled for more and I found this another cool gas mask figure. At this point, I already have a picture of what my drawing would looks like.

Then for the military gear, I am using the picture below as reference.

Then I added fumes with a creepy face to indicate a poisonous surrounding. This drawing is drawn using a black pen.
